Manhattan Beach Public Schools

With four elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school, each with a base API score over 900, Manhattan Beach contains some of the highest ranked schools in the country for academics, sports, music and the visual arts. Housing award-winning sports, robotics, media, music, and various other programs, Mira Costa High School has earned a gold medal for being one of the top 500 high schools nationwide, according to US News & World Report.

Hermosa Beach Public Schools

Hermosa Beach residents enjoy a smaller school district that includes just two elementary schools. Hermosa View for grades K-2 and Hermosa Valley for grades 3-8. The two elementary schools in Hermosa Beach earned perfect 10s across the board from the California Department of Education. Hermosa Beach residents also have the choice of attending Mira Costa High School or Redondo Beach High School. Both high schools boast exceptional, award-winning educational programs and sports teams. Mira Costa High School has earned a gold medal for being one of the top 500 high schools nationwide, according to US News & World Report. In 2013, Redondo Union High School was awarded a silver medal for being a high school with the highest unrounded college readiness indexes.

In 2013, Redondo Union High School was awarded a silver medal for being a high school with the highest unrounded college readiness indexes, and the school’s SAT scores are over 100 points higher than the country’s average.
