The iconic Redondo Beach Pier contains everything from restaurants to stores to an arcade. Just a few miles south takes you to the Redondo Beach Riviera Village, a collection of over 300 shops, restaurants and services mere feet from the ocean front. At King's Harbor, a recreational boating Marina located just north of the Redondo Beach Pier, is home to several excellent restaurants including the historic Chart House and the Cheesecake Factory.

There are fourteen neighborhood parks in Redondo Beach. Aviation Park is the site of the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center, and the park has a gym and track. Alta Vista Park is a 10 acre park with various sports facilities, a community center, and large playground. The Seaside Lagoon is the perfect place for a family barbeque or day by the ocean. The park has picnic benches, barbeque pits, a playground, and a grassed area and luau shelter for events. Wilderness Park is a unique spot in the middle of urban development, containing camp sites for overnight camping. Many local youth groups use the facilities at Wilderness Park. The Recreation and Sports Department of Redondo Beach hosts great adult sports programs as well as programs for teens, like the sailing academy and swim program.
